From one perspective, you certainly hope to be able to protect yourself and your property from those with evil intentions. Honestly, what's up for grabs here is your very life and your health, so be sure to do whatever you can to hold onto them.

But then again, you'd probably regret it for life and could even use your freedom if you were to kill your attacker without meaning to. How do you accomplish such a delicate balancing act? Well, you apply these methods, of course!

Keep a Weapon on You That Can't Kill The use of non-lethal weapons are available to temporarily stun and incapacitate their victims, instead of causing any long term harm such as death. When your attacker is writhing in pain, you can take advantage of the window of opportunity for a hasty escape.

There are numerous non lethal weapons that are inexpensive and effective. These such weapons could be pepper spray and mace sprays, electrical weapons such as stun guns and stun batons and also tasers and personal alarms. Doing this will enable you to have a few moments to run away as you drive the attacker from you or paralyze him to create the window of opportunity you need for your getaway.

Don't Lose Sight of Your Plan to Escape

Verbal abuse and physical assault may be the first thing you think of in order to be vindictive toward the one who's been trying to hurt you. This vindictive approach, however can extend your contact with the attacker and your chances for confrontation can be a lot higher.

The situation may become more dangerous for you when you are able to blind your attacker as he might get more angry. So why would this be something you'd want to happen?

So, at the first chance of escape, take it. Just save yourself.

Think About Attacking Those Parts That are Vulnerable but Won't Kill

Naturally, there are situations in life where the only thing to do is go for direct confrontation. Target vulnerable body parts of the agressor. Naturally, you want to choose the soft spots wisely so as not to kill him by accident.

If you're being attacked by a man, be sure that the first place you aim at is his genital area because that's very vulnerable. Do a hard kick and surprise the attacker. You want to go for the vulnerable areas, kick the attacker in the throat, knees, or groin. And here's where stilleto heels can work to your advantage, as the spikes can become your chosen weapons.

Next, you can take a blunt heavy object and hit him forcefully on the head, rendering him unconscious. Avoid using sharp objects at all costs, such as knives, unless there aren't any other available weapons in sight.

Thirdly, use your hands if they're free but your legs aren't free, to forcefully thumb him in the eyes. If this is done right, the attacker should be momentarily blinded, and the hold he may have had on you will be released so you can get out of there.

When you have the chance quickly run away and yell.
